Giving Tuesday: Building Fund

Building Fund for the Poor and Displaced

Creating Change — One Life, One Home, One Hope at a Time

At Good Shepherd’s Love, we believe lasting change begins with compassion in action. We’re working to secure a new building to expand our retail space and launch our newly designed program for displaced families and individuals — offering hope, healing, and restoration through housing, food, laundry and bathing facilities, and supportive care for those in crisis or experiencing homelessness.

Our goal is to move beyond temporary motel housing into a sustainable, welcoming space that grows with us — a place where we can meet immediate needs and invest in long-term transformation through job skill training, Focused Life groups, Faith Recovery meetings, and more. Our Daily Bread continental cafe restaurant will support community while tackling food insecurities. “Pay if you can, eat if you can’t” is our motto. Delivering up daily fresh breads, fruit, yogurts, soups, salads and sandwiches.

Giving Tuesday - Building Fund for the Poor and Displaced

Rooted in the love of Jesus, we exist to restore the homeless to independent living, build stronger people, and strengthen communities — without discrimination.

Every act of kindness, every dollar, and every prayer brings us closer to creating a safe haven for those who need it most.

How You Can Help:

  • 💙 Donate: Every dollar makes a difference — help us reach our building goal.

  • 🤝 Share: Spread the word to friends and family to amplify our mission.

  • 🙌 Volunteer: Your time, heart, and skills can help rebuild lives.

Together, we’re not just building a facility — we’re building hope.

Your Generosity at Work:
Real Impact. Real Lives Changed.

Christmas Givings

One of the characteristics of being born with chotzen’s syndrome is short stature. I could stretch out fully in my vehicle where I was living. GSL got me into a controlled rent apartment.

What a shock it was to be able to take a shower whenever I felt like it rather than beg someone to use theirs. Thanks to everyone at GSL, my 70yr old life has changed for the better since my
husband was killed by a drunk driver. There are still people out there in the shadows who need assistance as I did.

– Jan

GSL has helped us tremendously when we couldn’t’ stand on our own. Without them helping my family with hotel credits there is no telling where we would be or if my family & children would still all be together. We couldn’t be more grateful.

When I came to Good Shepherd for the first time, I was new to the area I didn’t know anyone & I didn’t have much for my apartment. I walked in and met korey for the first time and she
blessed me with pots and pans and a dress that lifted my spirits. A few months passed and I talked with Korey about volunteering it has restored my faith in humanity. I just love serving the Lord and volunteering here.

I’m on disability & have used GSL pantry services. I feel like I met my people with equal mindedness. Good Shepherd does so much for community and people in need. It is an honor to give back and glorify Jesus’ name, giving people hope, including myself. The store has given me a sense of purpose.
